Kate graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Economics. She has volunteered in a Vitamin D laboratory at the Children's Hospital of Oakland Research Institute, where she studied the effect of Mammary and Prostate cancers. She has two years of experience as an Alzheimers' caretaker which she enjoyed because of the close relationships she formed with the patients. She previously worked in a Cardiology office and volunteered in an Emergency Room at Scripps Memorial Hospital in San Diego. Kate is planning on applying to Medical School for 2013 admission.
